This asymmetrical vessel was been CARVED from a single piece of Claro Walnut salvaged from a firewood pile. The subsequent hand carving revealed tones and colors ranging from tans to deep browns with almost black striations throughout the grain. The bark inclusions have been filled with semi-transparent resin. Figured wood like this can only be found through reclamation.

The subsequent carving revealed beautiful honey colors, quilting, and small pin-sized bugholes showing the beginnings of ambrosia. Figured wood like this can only be found through reclamation.
